A little fire that happened just north of Crestomere, Alberta... It was a controlled burn that got a little out of hand...but by the time I hiked up from the road, the fire department left...

We're defnitely opposites...but it keeps things interesting.



Well, it's Christmas eve...everyone left the newsroom but me.

I stayed behind to work on an article about a local woman with multiple sclerosis and how the latest decision by the Alberta Legislature to fund observational trials of the 'Zamboni treatment' affects people with MS in the country.

Writing isn't my favourite thing to do, but it's nice to help people share their stories - happy or sad.

Santa's Anonymous

Did an 'embed' with some teens from a high school who volunteered to drive around and deliver baskets of goods.

Unfortunately, due to privacy reasons, I couldn't shoot any of the people they were actually delivering to.

Paul Formosa

Some stills from my multimedia project on people who live in downtown Belleville. This guy's name is Paul Formosa. He is from Malta and has had a very interesting life of heartbreak and happiness.

I got to spend an afternoon with him, just drinking coffee and talking about life.

Shooting assignments like these helped me really learn how to 'make' pictures. With most things I shoot, the pictures are there and I just capture them, but shooting these not-so-photographic events taught me a lot.
