Pioneer: Complete

Just finished the final edition of the Pioneer.
Probably one of the coolest parts of Photojournalism at Loyalist, the class getting together and making a real publication was the ultimate test of every skill we learned in the program.

I was really impressed by the work that my peers completed. I was also granted the opportunity to be Photo Editor for an edition - a great experience.

Ed Lubitz

Aircraft enthusiast and retired Air Canada captain Ed Lubitz built a replica of the Silver Dart 5, the first airplane ever flown in Canada. He has since donated it to the RCAF Museum in Trenton, Ont.

Light

Took advantage of some beautiful late-winter light. Too bad there is never anyone outside in Belleville...

I have been scouting this area since moving downtown, just waiting for the right light to hit it.
I'm glad it finally did, because it would have driven me nuts for a long, long time.

Spent about 30 minutes setting up a shot that seemed pretty interesting. It didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to, so I will try it again another night.

There is a lot more to this shot than I thought.
